Hey guys! Just thought I'd post a new thread about my new Washing Machine :) As you probably guessed its a 1600 Hoover Vision 8kg machine!
So far it seems to be a truly amazing machine, washes very well and the rinse levels are VERY high and ive not used the Sensitive Care option yet so I'm very pleased!

Anyway enough of me harping on, here are a few pics :)

Hey there
Glad you like your new machine.. I had the vision 8kg with the powerjet and absolutely loved it but it got damaged ina fire so have just bought the 1400 9KG and think it's the best machine i've used. Really well made, awesome programs, great rinse levels and final spin. it seems much more stable and quieter than my mates AEG 1600 washer dryer he just bought.

The clothes come out so dry huh??

More Pics To Follow Soon!

Hey! Yeah I must agree I cant believe how dry the clothes come out after the final 1600 spin lol :D! The new designed drum seems to really give the clothes a good wash and the paddles shower very well :D!!

The machine also seems quite smart as its been adjusting intermediate spin speeds, rinse levels and cycle time according to what you wash! Cant wait to start using the Sensitive Care option it sounds amazin lol!

Richard!

Hey!!

The Zanussi's been playing up for a while now, and last week it went really mad and the outer drum ended up cracking!! Ermmm The Hoover's not done any distribution during rinses yet, though ive only used 1 cycle on it so far so we'll see hehe!

Thanks for posting!

Richard

The Fully re-designed Hoover Hydro 8kg Drum!!

Sorry to disappoint you but that drum is an all Candy design and is on the Grandò line of washing machines since at least 2006 if i'm not mistaken.
Anyway what you have there seems a beautiful machine! Glad that you're enjoying it! Plus 8 kg of laundry is really a big basket of dirty clothes!!! Did you stuff your machine yet? Tell us please!

I earlier did ( what i thought ) was a very large load, would of certainly been a bit too much for the Zanussi, but by the time it had fully soaked the load down, the drum was only about half full and there was loads of room to spare lol :(! Its very hard to fill it lol!!

Richard

Richard, When i first got the hotpoint i'd saved my laundry up for 2weeks,(while i waited for it to come into my store as it was order!) and managed to fill the 7kg, theres only 2 of us!

After i'd done those large loads it came to my first "normal laundry week" then i thought how the hell am i going to fill this? But i do manage to now and again, but even when i dont things have lots of room to move!

What detergent were you using in that towels rinse pic?!

Darren

Hi Darren! In the rinse pic i was using Asda's own Bio Tabs! There great but can sometimes be lethal with the foam LOL!! I'll be doing some Net Curtains on the Arcylics cycle later on so I'll try and get some more pics! im well exited lol!

Richard

Nice machine, like the new drum in your model, looks really good.

I'm glad you like your new machine, it just goes to show that today's Hoover's are almost as good as models of yesteryear like the Keymatic, Electron, Logic, New Wave etc.

I like the rinse water levels too! Just like the Logic lol.

I look forward to more pics and vids of this!

Happy Washing!

Hey :D! Thanks for the complements :)! Here are a few more pics of the Hoover Vision on the Arcylics Cycle, I ended up using that cycle twice today, it seems really good :D! ( will do better pics and some videos this weekend most likely!)

Another thing is that I was really skeptical about having another Brush Motor as the Zanussi one just seemed to fire sparks all over the place and screech all the time! Though this one has a really nice smooth sound!! I'm very pleased with it :D!

Richard

It seems the likes of the Hoover Vision and the Ariston-Hotpoint Aqualtis are not skimping on the water any more.. I wonder are we starting to see less focus on tiny water consumption machines and more on energy efficiency. It seems to me that an 8kg machine loaded up to full capacity is going to be more energy and water efficient than a 5kg machine that skimps on water and has to be run twice to do the same amount of washing....

A Hoover Vision Rinse!

mrx, I agree with you it seems they really dont skimp at all on water levels anymore :D:D!! I'm so pleased! Also it tumbles whilst it fills for the rinses :D:D!

Finally!!!!!!! Rinse water back on its way up, enough people must have complained for this to happen, As mrx said, it is more water and energy efficient to wash and RINSE properly 8kilos of washing rather than 2 5kgs with hardly any! I'm glad my hotpoint uses proper amounts of water, that combined with a 1600rpm final spin makes for properly "CLEAN" laundry, I agree with the chap who owns and runs washerhelp.co.uk, he thinks that maybe rinsing should either be added to the energy labels or combined in the wash performance then you can truely say the clothes are CLEAN!

How are you getting along with the vision then richard?!

Darren

Ahhh yeah I agree with you totally Darren!! Yeah I'm getting along with it well thanks :D! It really does seem to be quite amazing, Its really pleasing to see it actually using water to rinse!and the 1600 spin is amazing! Its really poor to think that sometimes the Zanussi would rinse in a pump full of water sometimes as it would refuse to re-fill at times! It's awaiting the skip lol!

How are you getting on with your new Hotpoint Darren! They also seem very good!

A very interesting machine, Richard! :)

I can certainly agree on the issues regarding rinsing, which I think seems to be overlooked by many manufacturers. The most important thing regarding rinsing is *effectiveness* - that is, how well a machine *actually* rinses different loads using the best rhythm and only as much water, time and energy as is absolutely necessary.

I do still believe users should be able to add more water and/or more rinses, like Miele’s Water plus function, if they wish if there is a family member with sensitive skin, especially eczema. Such conditions require not only *good* rinsing, but *outstanding* rinsing – nothing can be left behind whatsoever.

So, Richard, if you or your family even suspect any possible skin problems in your immediate family, even just sensitive skin, or if anyone even beyond your immediate family has any similar problems, put all extra options for better rinsing on and get the dose just right, too! :)

I do take an interest in machines other than just Miele, as much as I love my Mieles :), so keep these threads coming! :) I know some higher-end machines like this from Hoover and Hotpoint are, according to some in the field, apparently proving somewhat more reliable and better performing than their cheaper brothers and sisters, so we might just have some decent Hotpoints and Hoovers again – yay! :)

Regards,

Carl :)
