Hoover's first SUV (Sports utility vacuum)

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Well I have to admit my Dyson does loose suction but only a tiny bit and over a period of two months at a time. Generally the amount that it loses is so small and insignificant.

My grandma bought a Dyson and she has trouble moving it. She would most definately have trouble with a Hoover Z.

I have noticed when I reccommend vacuums to friends/family ect they tend to ask "Is it bagless" often if I say no they say one of two things
1. They want one without a bag
2. (The most common answer) They want a Dyson

bagless vacuums are a gimmick

Most people think a bagless vacuum is the greatest thing since sliced bread, no more worries about keeping bags on hand...
The romance wears off quickley once people realize they still have to empty the dirt container, and worse yet clean filters!

Yes, bagged bacuums lose suction, some worse than others, but its still a whole lot neater to empty than some dirt cup, even if that dirt cup in on a Dyson.

Buy one now; it's going to be a collector's item soon. Put it next to your Maytag Neptune TL and your TiVo'd copy of the single episode of Heather Graham's now-canceled show "Emily's Reasons Why Not." Jesus, how low do your ratings have to be in order to be canceled after one episode?

But I digress. This testosterone-fueled Transformer wanna-be is going to have a short shelf life. Buy one now. In fact, buy two.

one of my worries about the z is, lets say you use it very often, daily. the wire that flicks the filter is eventually going to wear the filter, i imagine. i also hear the hose suction is less than expected. the front wheels seem quite small. seems they would sink into loose carpets. and the cord wrap, i wouldnt even bother, and simply toss the cord over the handle...

filter

David,
No worries on filter wear, it turns v e r y s l o w l y.

would take a LONG time for that to wear out.

Frigilux: I'll put mine next to the Neptune TL and the Royal Powercast.

brushroll rate?

That would be kinda needless no?
The filter only needs to turn fast enough so the little metal fingers can "snap" the pleats and knock the dirt off.

The turning filter is powered by its own little motor, giving the Z three motors!
