With big thanks to Doug Smith in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan..you'll have to look that up in your Rand-McNally, north of North Dakota. As well he sent me the attachment set/box for my Classic III and some Legend attachments I was also missing. One of the first things I noticed besides the Hoover noise is that similarity to the later Panasonics. Mucho too crowded in my room now,, notice I have some shelf brackets sitting on the couch.

HOORAY FOR YOU PETE!!

Is that US or Canadian.
In the US thats model 1120, made from 1965-1969. Its colors are pumpkin with Seal greige light-medium-deep. Of all the Dial-A-Matic models in the US, the 1120 sold the most.
My next door neighbor had one when I was a kid.
Thats the first Dial-A-Matic model I remember in the stores too.
It looks like its in beautiful condition!
Congrats!

model #'s

In the US 1120, in Canada 1102, in England 1128, and in Australia 1125...

Amazing how the same thing could be different all over the world!

We had one like that when I was a kid. Green front, rather than orange. Seems like it ran forever. The sound it made was a kind of roarrrr...

Next one I remember after that was a Compact, also green, coincidentally enough, and with incredible suction and a turbine-driven brush nozzle for carpets. Don't recall what we got after that one but I would have liked to have kept it (seeing as they are expensive as hell now, even used, I don't expect to find another any time soon).
