Hotpoint and KitchenAid sightings at estate sale

I went to an estate sale today at a very nice house I'm guessing from the 80s. The sale itself was boring but the kitchen was fun. I spent awhile in there looking at the appliances. There was a Hotpoint range very similar to mine but this one was much more deluxe, possibly TOL. It had a surface light and possibly a Sensitemp, but I'm not sure on that. It was a very nice range though and very clean. There was also a Kitchen Aid dishwasher with a black acrylic panel door from the same time. The fridge though was a newer white Kitchen Aid badged Whirlpool SXS.

But all in all it was nice to see these appliances. I do like when estate sales have nice vintage appliances to look at.

Plus right before Easter I went to another estate sale and there was a nice Kitchen Aid Superba washer and dryer set in the laundry room, also very very clean.

Mobile, AL estate sale

I went to one here yesterday - started at 8 and I was there within 15 minutes after starting.  I went specifically for this laundry pair, but was told that they were sold.  No prices on either appliance, and I'm betting someone either contacted the seller in advance, or a friend of the family put 'dibs' on them.  The house was built in 1976 and they were the first and only washer/dryer for the lady.

Look at that water heater next to the washer! I hope that your ground water is warm because I would hate to heat water for a 1-18 electrically.

Not to worry - our ground water is most certainly warm.  Takes very little warm water mixed with a lot of cold to take a shower.

I hate estate sales where items are already pre-sold.  None of the estate sale companies around my area do it.  It's first come, first served or you're just out of luck.

Then they make a nice mark up on it.

I think all dealers here ascribe to that code of ethics - no advance sales, no advance pricing.  But this particular sale was being conducted by the family, so.....
