..the seems LONG for a Miele!
As a lot of guys on here know, I have a serious vendetta against stupidly long wash times, which is why I got the Miele. 60 Cottons with Water Plus on my W562 takes 1hr58, or 1hr38 with the short option. It's usually less depending on the load size.

Hi Chris.

The HomeCare programme comes with automatic pre wash, then goes into a main wash. I have not tried the programme, but just read up in the instruction book concerning this programme.

I have been using the Minimum iron programme which also lets me use a 60c.

Very pleased with the machine, very quiet, great washing performance, great at rinsing and spinning.

Congrats on the Miele. They're really good machines!

Is Intensive Plus the only cycle programmed under HomeCare?
I received a brochure earlier this year regarding this machine and I thought there where a number of cycles available if you scrolled left and right, using the buttons under the display.

Perhaps it depends on the model, but even if you do only have Intensive Plus, you should be able to ask for additional cycles to be added!!

Thanks for message. You know more about my machine than I do, lol. Since my friend gave me the machine, I have used it a few times, but have been in bed with flu. After reading what you said I decided to read the instructions again.

When you select the Homecare programme then you press either the spin or delay start to get extra programmes. The extra programmes are as follows, Intensive Plus, Silk/lingerie, Pillows, Down Filled Items, Proffing, Curtains.

When you select Down filled items, a run-up spin is carried out before the wash process begins, to deflate down-filled items. When you select Curtains, a pre-rinse is carried out automatically.

I like the automatic programme. The wash rhythm is intensive, normal and gentle, and medium water level for wash, and high water level for rinse.

Really pleased with the machine, and so quiet on wash & spin.
