hotpoint aqualtis issues

hay! today i did a load of my neice's bibs and clothes in my hotpont aqualtis today and i had a huge shock! te area around the door porthole had started to rust! i knew that the machine had started to rust under the soap drawer but i am horrified, but the machine is 5 years old and hasent goven me jip! ill just leeve it do wat it's going to do, but hotpoint should redesign the ineriour IE rust= proof paint.

have you tryed sanding where the rust is located and then repaint with a rust proof paint because on any type of machine rust can not be prevented from showing up from time to time lol

yes i have and it still bubbles off and rusts

yes, i took out an extention on the warrenty when i got it. i learned that the hard way

here is a tip as soon as your done washing leave your washer door open to dry and wipe the rims and side of your washer that may help in prventing rust from forming

i do that anyway! i always wipe the seal and leaved the door open afer use

B&Q sell appliance paint. The instrucvtions are painted on the back or try a google search.

You should wash with 60C or higher occasionally to ensure bacteria is killed, if it is rusting in the rubber.
Or do you mean actually behind the door-if thats the case, I would phone up your hotpoint guarantee.

Or it might just be the actual part thats defective, like stated in the post above mine maybe you should call your hotpoint warrenty. Service and set an apointment with a tech, and if you have a sanitize cycle on your. Washer i would run it full, cycle with no clothes and use clorine bleach to kill the germs as well.

i trhink i might give rust treatment another try, if this fails i'll leave it to rust thrrough. ive got a spare machine to use when it goes so it's not that bad

or you always have the option if you have the model and serial number of your washer to order from hotpoint parts a brand new door and before installing the new door give the new washer door a good rust treatment lol

Any chance of a photo so I have a clue as to what to look for because if mine starts rusting I will get another cabinet
