Hotpoint Aquarius Ultima 1400 AutoWasher 9566

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

White VS Brown Door

Fido: I have purchased a brown trim for the 9566, it's waiting for exchange, as & when my Uncle comes to collect it, as my Servis Sapphire took the Ultima's place with the rest of the crew in our garage.

SuperElectronic: I'm not bothered whether it's a plain Aquarius, Aquarius Ultima or plain Ultima, far as I'm concerned, it's a touch control AutoWasher, the true Ultima's've always been touch control, so whether it's officially branded an Ultima or not, it's an Aquarius Ultima MicroProfile. Thanks for the date confirm though, I thought it was a 1996 year model, so, it's as old as my Logic Premier then, & almost as old as my Sapphire.

Miele4Life: I'll make a point of nipping upto my Grandma's friend's to check it out, before it goes to my Uncle. I bought the 9566, as part of a set with the Aristocrat Logic, back in May 2010, God I feel old, it had a few probs, still does, but after I got the Sapphire, it became obsolete, until my Uncle ditched his 9525W to my friend Dan Keetley, the 9566's waiting to go to my Uncle's as the replacement to the 9525W.

UltimaFan: The 9566, does indeed, have a 1/2 load button, Dan Keetley mentioned that 9567 that you're referring to, I actually inquired about getting the dispenser from it as my Nimrod Dad, snapped the fascia cover off the 9566 when he was taking it out the back of the TravelMate, my Grandma's car. (See link below).
I promise you, that once in, the deal with the 9566, going to my Uncle, is that I go over occasionally & film it while it's running a load through, so that we haven't "lost" another vintage Hotpoint MicroProfile machine, with them being quite rare machines these days.

Super Electronic: If you've still got the brochure you referred to, above, could you either share the pages, scanned, on here in a thread, or email them to me, my primary email's in my profile.

MaturaSigma: If you're lucky, & were tempted, keep an eye out on Ebay UK for these MicroProfile Aquarius Ultima's, they come up now & again, just like Servis Quartz & Sapphire's, if you really want one, you could get an international courier to collect/deliver to you, if this were the case, I'd happily translate the controls/programmes & features for you. I can tell you, in my view, Germany's Ebay comes up with some great machines of my liking, I'd certainly be tempted to invest in some German version machines, but that'll depend on when & how much extra space I can muster to accommodate them, & whether I can loan my Grandma's car & my Aunt for the transportation to get it/them collected & back home.

That brings back so many memories, My nana had the WM41W for 14 years, an excellent machine, watched it for hours, would love to see another one in action again.

Thanks for showing us the pictures! Hope your uncle takes good care of it :)

Best wishes

Jacob

P.S Love the Sapph and the Aristocrat!

so whether it's officially branded an Ultima or not, it&

It's not though, is it? The Miroprofile pre-dates the Ultima branding. Regardless of wether you call it Ultima or not, it will never be an Ultima. Sorry.

Push Button Servis

My first auto was a push button Servis but slightly more basic than the Sapphire. Mine was the Servis Starlight 6025, purchased in May 1988 for £250 from Comet. The motor takes the same brushes as the Hotpoint.

Brochure scan of the Aquarius Microprofile...

...annoyingly, that's the one model I don't have a scan of from the brochure, so we'll have to wait til I can bring it to work and scan it on the quiet!

Still, here's something almost similar - the model down from it...
