Hello - We have an old Hotpoint double wall oven, and the bottom elements are not working on either oven. The top elements work on both, and the bottom elements are still good (had them tested). I haven't been able to get a model # or serial # for it; I found them inside the door of the top oven, but can't make them out. It's believed that this model is from the late 50's or early 60's. All of the elements were replaced at least once, but I don't know how long ago. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, if someone could give me a better idea of what model this is from the picture and info provided, that would be great!

This looks like........

The RLG702 from 1959. You have to pull the back panel off and see what's going on with the wiring. There's no way around that. I totally rewired mine with modern range wiring to make it safe. It doesn't seem to be a switch issue. Also, pull the burner out and check the connections for pitting.

Ok, thanks! I haven't had a chance to pull it out yet, but will do that and check the wiring. There wasn't any pitting on the connectors, and I had also tried cleaning the connectors.
