It's from before '74, as that's when Hotpoint washers started being made in GE's Louisville plant. At that time, both the washer and dryer got tops that were higher at the edges (as GE's had been since '64). Hotpoint dryer production had moved to GE Louisville sometime around '70, but the tops were flat to match that of the older style washer.
