Neither have I

But it's always interesting to see something new(?). I remember these ranges were the upscale ones of that era. Notice the border around the description box. It's so early 60's; remember seeing kitchen curtains and tablecloths (and probably shelfpaper)with designs like that. Hope someone worthy gets it.

Flair copycat

Hmm, other than the Tappan Fabulous 400, didn't know anyone else copied the Frigidaire Flair design.

Seems like everybody was copying the Flair in the '60s. The Hallmark is the most blatant imitation I've seen. The doors even slide up. The basic eye-level-oven-with-burners-below design was also used by Modern Maid, Kenmore (Classic Cook Center), GE (certain Americana models), Roper (Charm), and probably others.

WOW

Awesome range! It really resembles the Flair; very atomic/Eames. You will have to excuse my ignorance but....would this have been a G.E. made Hotpoint? You can stop laughing now.

I have only seen one of these in person about 1 year ago, and it is made by GE. Uses the same burners and switches as a GE branded stove. But I don't ever remember a GE badged "flair" type range. Maybe someone could clarify this?

I saw an eye-level GE range on eBay a few years back. It was thirty inches wide, with a side-swing door and pushbutton controls. It had the Americana badge. As I recall, it was pink.

$800.00,and the ovens don't work? What are they smokin?

I had a chance to pick up a later model GE gas range, with an eye level oven this weekend.I find them heavy, and hard to sell,so I generally leave them alone. And it was $795.00 LESS than that one.......

GE's

Kenny I really like any GE with the florescent lighted control panel. Also anything 1956 or older. I would like to see a pic of that matched set you have too.

Thank!

I have a friend who has a Hotpoint Hallmark. It's a pale imitation of the flair at best. Probably the worst thing about it are the burner controls. They are directly above the oven (like the flair) but are made out of metal and have no baffle between the oven and controls (unlike the flair, which has the work light) Therefore, the burner controls get HOT when the oven is on.

Also, the burner drawer thing is just a silly gimmick. It doesnt' cover the burners (like the flair does) it just gives you the option of sliding it out a few inches if you need it for big pots.
