My timer on my late 1980's Hotpoint Potwasher dishwasher gets stuck before its supposed to drain the wash water out. Whats wrong? I will post a picture of exactly where it gets stuck. Its hard to see sorry. But it gets stuck right before Rinse & Hold

Do you have the water heat option set to on or off?  If it's on, then the timer is dalying to make sure the water is heated to the correct temperature.

Yes i did have it on. Thank you for replying. Thats makes alot of sense now Haha! But yet it still takes forever to finish tha cycle. But im running it again tonight and i will see what happends.

Rinse & Hold is basically holding the cycle to ensure water is hot enough for the drying phase. Switch off heated dry, and the machine won't hold as long.
Things to also consider are the age of the appliance, as things get older the heater gets older and starts to take longer to do things. (I notice this in my Hotpoint washer).

Mat -- Rinmse & Hold

Please do not confuse this young person.  Rinse & Hold here in the U.S. is a cycle designed the pre-rinse dishes until a full load is accumulated.  Until manufacturers started "cheapening" their cycle sequence/options, Rinse & Hold used to always be a separate push-button cycle whereby it did one or two prerinses and the stopped and allowed further accumulation of soiled dishes over a few days.  then to save costs, they starrted putting the designation of Rinse & Hold (like on this Hotpoint) on the final rinse of the complete wash cycle and the operator selected the cool dry option.  Rinse & Hold here in the U.S. is nothing as you descrtibed.  Now, final rinse with timer doing a thermostatic hold until water is heated to 155 degrees F or higher for sanitize option, then that's as similar concept to what you describe.
