This was the next model up from the model that was in my house that was built July 1984

When GE and its subsidiaries started using the term "Potwasher" (it's like one of Trump's lame and pathetic "Boast-Lies")to promote their mediocre dishwashers in the Seventies I actively persuaded my Parents to ditch those products and turn to KItchenAid. They were sold and never went back.

Ahh, the memories. As awful as these were in terms of leaving food particles behind, I still have a strange linking for them. They lasted and lasted and that is one of the things that made me have a great deal of respect for this era of GE and Hotpoint appliances.

I also remember taking the tech sheet pouch from under the toe kick when they were set to the curb or dumpster. It was like collecting Baseball/Pokemon/Super Hero cards LOL. Seeing all the different cycle sequences and how they evolved over time I found fascinating.

And of course, no electronics

These had three major advantages of Kitchen-Aids:

1) Potscrubber depressed would stretch the main wash time to about 30-40 minutes total. 2) The heater typically ran the whole main wash even after any thermal holds were satisfied. 3) substantially simpler control system over the whole RA and cycle interlocking.

If they could have implemented these functions on the Kitchen-Aids it would have made for a substantially better dishwasher.

Like I said, similar model from 1984 was in my house. It was horrible, left yibblits all over the place. When I got the GSD1200 GE Potscrubber it was a whole totally dfferent, and far superior machine. I had not regrets getting the GSD1200. The 2 WP/KA produced Kenmore Elites were ok, but my Bosch kicks butt like nothing else I've ever owned or my parents either. Not sure what will succeed the Bosch when the time comes. I don't believe in having apps offer all the cycles. I want all the cycles/options on the control panels.

Any GE that had the back filter, orbital spray arm and deluxe top rack was a top performing machine.
