Hi All
Being the proud owner of the full service manual of the 1600 with a supplement of the revised 1830, and guessing I am the only one on here with this info...? I am planning on scanning and uploading on here.

Just kind of wondering before I do, how many of you are actually keen to see this information on this mysterious beauty???
Best regards Andy

Envious!

Hi Andy,

Long story short, I love the 1600/1830! This model is enthusiastically loved by many on both sides of the pond. You will not disappoint us no doubt about that.

I'm sure one day an example will be found, heres hoping I will find one and all.

Youre scans could give us a lead to 1600/1830 owners if they come across your posts by coincidence.

Regards, James.

Me to

Hi Andy,

yes I would also be very interested in any info on these machines, particularly parts diagrams and exploded views etc.

I saw one in a closed down junk shop at least 20 years ago, and back then had no idea of its importance, I just assumed and now know I was wrong that it was based on the top loader, ie induction motor tumbling in one direction via a reduction gear then motor reversing via the same clutch as the toploader to run the pump and run it up to a spin. well this may be how it would have been done 10 years earlier, but I have since learnt it was the first machine with a solid state controlled brush motor, and the first to spin at 1100rpm.

So yes very interested

Mathew

Hi guys,
Can smell the hunger lol almost... anyone else? =)

I can confirm that this is a fully comprehensive manual, featuring the machine characteristics, dis assembly instructions, circuit diagrams, flowcharts and the parts explosion.

It really must have been the most advanced washing machine of it's time when launched. Would love to know how many units were produced.

Regards Andy
