I have a RD-20-63 Frigidaire range. My husband was trying to replace the knob for the oven. He over torqued it so now it spins freely and the oven won't turn off. The capillary works. The replacement part is discontinued. I have searched under every part number associated with it and no luck. I have also looked for every model of Frigidaire 1963 range models for used parts.
I am thinking I am going to have to find something that I can use in it's place. I believe that I can use a Wilcolator, a Robert Shaw, Gemline or maybe something else?. Then I can use the shaft and capillary that I have. Ebay has quite a few Wilcolators. I don't know the Amps and Voltage for my thermstat to narrow it down. I cannot find that information in my Tech Talk Manual.
I, also, can find Gemline GR201, GR202, GR204 but not the GR206 which is a replacement. Not sure I can use one of them as a replacement switch.
Any help would be so greatly appreciated! I need my oven back and get my husband out of the doghouse lol
