hotpoint twin tub problem

hi guys i was wondering if you could help me i have a hotpoint supermatic de luxe 9414 and it has a problem spining sometimes it will spin straight away other times i have to spin the drum by hand and quickly close the lid . Is this a big problem or can it be repaired im not even sure if parts are still available . This is my daily driver so any help at all would be appreciated . ↲Thanks guys . j x x

Hi James,
Sounds like the Fly-out clutch shoes may need changing. Sometimes they can become worn (to smooth & shinny) and don't grip the pulley.
These are still available through most online spare part websites.
