Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Great progress!

The place is coming along wonderfully, Justin! My folks home had a Youngstown Kitchens range hood like yours (my late mother painted it harvest gold!). I am insanely jealous of the turquoise washer and dryer! Keep the photos coming, I can't wait to see the pink oven!!

and

the master bathroom. Haven't done anything as of yet to the master bath, but will paint, and replace that new toilet with a vintage american standard pink toilet as well as replace the sink with a vintage pink sink. The master bathroom doesn't have a tub, just a stand up shower. It has the tile surround.

Bathroom Color

Justin,
The house has come along way from when you guys first looked at it. I know it takes time, but you are getting there. I love the pink tile in the bathrooms, but the blue has to go - way too bright. You need to change the wall color and soften it down. I found a website that might be helpful to you in choosing colors to go with pink. I have a friend in MA who has a 1950's bathroom and it is done in pink, grey and black and it really looks sharp. I wouldn't change anything in it if I had it. I have attached a web site that might be helpful in choosing some coordinating colors. Take a look as it may be helpful to you. Oh by the way please don't take my comment as an insult to the color you have choosen, sometimes things are taken the wrong way and I don't want to start something with you, I am just posting a friendly comment.

This blue just overpowers the pink tile and white fixtures. Was that what you were going for?

Hey Justin....

The house looks like its taking shape real nicely......My own personal choice of color for the bathroom walls would have been grey which would have given the bathroom a popular 50's tri-color paint scheme (that tri color scheme was very popular and I have seen it in bath ads in some of my home magazines from the era) but if the blue is what you and Steve like for the color of the bathroom than who gives a ats rass what the rest of us think. I believe you should paint what ever colors you like on your walls...after all as my mom would say its your house you live in it so decorate to your tastes not someone else's...PAT COFFEY

Bathroom color scheme

I think I'll add another vote for gray paint. Growing up, we had pink fixtures in the bathroom. For years, it was painted dark blue. Then, it got repainted a gray (medium or light--I can't quite remember), which was much, much, much better.

thank you for your input.

I love the pink tile in the surround. No way am i going to ruin it.I wasn't too sure about the blue. Steve was the one who picked the color out. I think a soft/light blue would look good. But now that I have people that agree that the dark blue just doesn't go in the bathroom, maybe I can talk steve into letting me repaint it another color. Thanks

and now

Are there any other electricians out there? Steve did a lot of work in rewiring the house and putting a new service panal in. We ran into a few problems while rewiring, like the outside walls all being 9inch thick brick, and the inside walls having a fire block about four feet up. Not to mention the majority of the work was done from the attic crawl space. So this is where I get to brag about Steve. :D I'm now posting a pic of the service panal. I have never seen one as neat as this. This is how much of a perfectionist Steve is, that all the wires that are in the service panal are nice and neat. Anyways just wanted to show off. :D
