LAWD HAVE MERCY!

Its 7:15am and I am howling with laughter at my desk at work, scratching my head trying to figure out how a cake thread turned to S**T! And so quickly too!!

Good thing there is nobody else much here but me and a couple of underwriters down the hall!

Mike: Butter is sold by the pound, each package contains 4 1/4 pound sticks.
1 stick of butter = 1/2 cup of butter, so this recipie would need 1 cup of butter or margerine.

I so needed to start today laughing!
Thanks guys!

In the US a stick of butter is a quarter of a pound as opposed to a quarter of a kilo block.

So Mike you'd need half a UK / metric block. Which appears to be about two sticks from my perspective.

Also our butter is marked in Tablespoons, with 8 to a stick.

Steve:
I look forward to meeting you too!

~I do remember when you Toggled back and forth with the numbers.

Somehow, I'm not going to touch this one.

LOL ROFL LMAO.

Yes Gary, its laughter!

Its been a long time since I really laughed too, but you guys have me doing it this morning!

Clutch the pearls in horror!

They would have taken a little liberty with that recipe and added some hash (bleh!).

Meat? In a cake? Have you gone mad?

(LOL)

When I toggled back and forth with the numbers?

What did I do????

Absolutely nothing Dahling.....You 'toggled' back and forth when you saw my pic and looked at DOB....

Is the answer going to make me blush and you laugh? ha ha

What was your answer?

And yes, toggle and I started dating at that time.

I'm eating a fresh hot piece now and its great!

Glad you like!
What did you use for booze?
Its a little different with each type. They are all yummy!
I never tried a sugar glaze...I may have to!

What did you use for booze?

I used Mount Gay Barbados Sugar Cane Rum. I wanted Goslings Black Seal Rum, but the store was out of it. I like a dark rum with a little molasses taste to it. I might have to try this with coconut rum once.
