Guys, a last Friday I decided to start getting rid of old clothes that my mom insisted to keep during many years.
Started by her closet, obviously, opening door after door, making her try garment after garment and sorting in three piles: Donate, fix and keep.
Today I did the guest bedroom, that has wardwobes on every wall, including over the bed and drawers under the bed.
Again lots of clothes. dozens of sheets, including bed linen, towels table clothes and napkins my mom made before she got married, with beautiful delicate embroidered details and she never used.
Got rid of a huge pile of clothes and I'm sure i'll have cleared at least 50% of the space when i start putting everything back on it's place. Specially mom's closet that's HUGE!
I still didn't finish sorting, but I'm sure I have more than 60 loads waiting for me. many of them with one or two items that can't be mixed, but at least 20 full loads, specially with the linen and towels. I'm going to wash everything here, from blankets to socks, except the curtains because i'm not on the mood to remove them yet. The pile in the middle of my living room was 3x2 meters (the size of the mat) and 1.5m tall.
I'm sure I'll have fun for many days and also lots of ironing to do but it made me curious... How big was your biggest laundry pile ever? I mean, home laundry, not considering professional laundry members, that obviously handle piles much bigger than mine day after day.
By the way, I'm going to bed now and the first two full loads of towels are already in the aqualtis and the ecoturbo washer-dryers and will be ready when I wake up.
