Questions: Where was the recirculating water that's supposed to be showering the clothes? Have you used the Clean Washer cycle yet? Was that the maximum fill?

I'm guessing this was done on the Normal cycle. The recirculation spray is only on Sheets/Towels and Bulky/Bedding. And yes, the Clean Washer cycle fills all the way to under the top balancing ring.

I've seen these machines before and I really can't see the advantage over a proper front loader. The wash action looks very aggressive and potentially damaging to fabric and it also doesn't look like it's getting the clothes very wet.

At least with a tumbling front loader the water passes through the clothes as the drum turns.

It is not supposed to have an advantage over a TL washer. From the majority of posts i have read in other forums, people seem to really like these new machines. Besides we are americans and the majority of us still prefer TL washers.

I have the Whirlpool Cabrio, which is the whirlpool version of the Oasis, and have to say that it works very well. Its not rough on the clothes at all. The "Invisible" agitator doesn't have any large fins so nothing can snag.

The recirculation works on all the cycles, only once every few minutes. It only recirulates because there is a lint filter over the hole that the recirc pump uses. and it recircs to clear the lint out. The recirc pump is also used for the "Catalyst cleaning." It is also used to weigh the load as well. When the machine is first started, it fills through the detergent dispenser for a minute or so, showers the clothes to get them wet. The machine then spins and the load on the motor as is spins give the computer a clue to how much the wet clothes weigh. It does this 3 times in all the cycles except Sheets/Towels to get right amount of water everytime.

The machine only uses the proper amount of water for the load because it weighs the clothes and determines the amount of water. Only the Clean Washer cycle and Sheet/Towels uses more water then normal.

Oh! That poor dear! Put some water in that machine! The speed and force with which the wash plate turns with the weight of the wet clothes on it, it has to be rough. Jason, I'm glad you like your machine.

I know that a lot of people like this machine and read that it cleans well so it must be a good design. However, if I didn't have those kinds of testimonials, going on the look of the wash (if you know what I mean), I wouldn't be convinced. The clothes don't appear to rollover much or be saturated in the water. I guess that you can't go by appearances!!

There's water in the machine. Just to enough to float the clothes. The rollover is slow. I'd have to record a video longer than that to see it rollover. I think it is gentle on clothes, more so than a direct drive shredmore. I don't get a whole lot of lint when I dry the clothes and towels and no damage at all. AND stuff comes clean. So whatever it is, it works. I'm very happy with the Oasis.

Is there any way to 'bump up' the water level so that it's at least 1/2way normal?

Will washer manufacturers ever stop with the 'wet wipe wash' stuff?

This is getting as pathetic as those 1.5 gallon 'low flush' toilets you have to flush 5 or 6 times, constantly clog, and never work right.

dont like it looks nice but where the hell is the water? i mean im looking at a shallow line of water at the bottom it needs more i dont think could come out clean.

This machine relies on the Direct Inject Catalyst spray at the beginning to "release" most of the stains and dirt, and the agitation I believe is to get out the loose dirt, and to get out the more set-in stains. All of my dingy white socks and shirts come out perfectly white on the Heavy Duty cycle with all of the options (sans Save Energy Plus) selected, and with no bleach at all, not even OxiClean! You can't always judge the cleaning level of a machine by the amount of water or suds in the tub, especially with the Oasis/Cabrio; you have to see it for yourself!
