Hello to all aw members,

febuary 16 begins bathroom renovation washer dryer might already be in the basement by then but what would be the best protection to protect the electronic controls of the washer dryer from demolition dust plaster dust ect? even do its not yet febuary i just went to prepare and be ready when its time since it will be messy

thank you very much for your answer

Covering them each with a blanket of some type seems workable. Tie something ... a rope, string, twine or link some bungee cords together to wrap around each machine just secure enough for anchoring the blankets in place so they don't slip off.

recently had our basement remodeled and the controls for our washer & dryer stayed working fine...

maybe not a lot of dust got kicked up--you know: the "pardon our dust", tag that building construction gets...

the lid for the washer was even open but nothing got in it...

however, our treadmill is in the laundry area and the doors to the main area by it are way to narrow to get it through...

so the much wider ones, at the other end of the utility room, will require a lot of muscle to carry it there to that side of the basement it gets used anyway...
