I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to assist me in learning how to download from YouTube.
I have Windows XP.
Speak slowly, and assume (that I know) nothing!

I have found a treasure-trove of ethnic songs from my childhood that I can't seem to find elsewhwere.

I'd be interested in the audio track "only" and getting these songs onto a CD.

a big .......
"F.Harry Stowe" (thank you!)
in advance.

if you want *Greek* done well, go to the Turks!

Candan Erçetin is the Edith Piaf and the Nana Moukouri of Turkey!

"Everyone" knows this one! Armenians, Greeks, Turks and more!
Turkish show with Greek songs.

OMG it's like having my grandparents come back to life. I get chills!

If you use Opera web browser there is a "widget" (an applications that runs only whithin the web browser) that can be used to download videos from youtube (in FLV flash format). One is called "FLVDownloader" and the other one "Video Downloader"

If you already have Opera just click the link I posted and get the widget, otherwise download Opera first. It's really the best browser around!

Tachycardia anyone?

Thanks boys and girls and girly-boys! "Keep those cards and letters coming!"

Good stuff starts at 1:00.

Him: (Stathis Raftopoulos)

Literally says "never-pleased woman of bad-character" but better translated as Ungrateful bitch! [not so harsh in the original].
What did I ask of you?
One love?
One romance?
Looks like thsoe were too much for you!
For you, my heart beat (fast).
For you I became the victim (implies passive/docile/submissive/"tamed").
And by your pitch-black eyes, I was fooled (black colored eyes [i.e. dark brown]are considered very sexy).
Chorus: ungrateful bitch.
I was broken and made twisted/bent.
You molded me and I became crazed.
I gave you ALL.
Chorus: Ungrateful bitch.

Her: (Maria)
Our "cologne" (i.e. essence of love) didn't last, my love, (gone) for years.
Her aroma (of the cologne/essence) dissipated quickly from our sheets.
I'm tired of our involvement.
I'm reaching my limit.
I'm sorry I feel this way.
What can I do (for you)? Meaning she feels badly about how this affects him him. But alas......

*SIGH*
Black hair just pushes me over the edge!

Online.Movavi.com

This is what I use a lot. The online utility tends to be a bit tempermental at times in that server problems often plague proper file conversions, but for the most part, one can still convert Youtube, Google, and other online streams into .AVI or other Windows Media compatible files. So far, I have been more than successful at collecting loads and loads of washer videos, along with several more vintage detergent commercials.--Laundry Shark

Has anyone noticed that when playing a YouTube video, a new window pops up asking if one want to download it?

HMMMMM who upgraded what?

I'm wondering if this is a function of my new version of the "Real" player, or a YouTube feature.

Interesting timing!

Your pop up window to download is Real Player.
I posted about this a couple of weeks ago.
It works quite well, but all of your videos will need to be played in Real Player.

It works quite well, but all of your videos will need to be played in Real Player.
Any file type can be assigned to any application that can handle it, they don't all have be linked to the one default player. But each file type can be assigned to only one default player at a time.

There are a couple work-arounds.

1. Open the player of choice, then use the File | Open dialog to find/navigate to the file/video/clip you want to play.

2. Place shortcuts for all your players in your SendTo menu, then you can right-click on a file, SendTo, and select which player for each instance of playing. (XP also has an OpenWith context menu which may be customizable the same as SendTo. I don't speak Vista, so can't say about it, nor do I speak Mac.)
