How easy is it to change spinner seal?

Hi all. My Hoover twinie is leaking from underneath the spin can. It is very rusted, crumbling away and the seal is brittle. Does this mean I have to change the whole tub or is it possible to just change the seal? Is it an easy job?
Any advice appreciated
