We have one here on the outskirts of Cork - Ireland's second city, located on the south coast.

It comes complete with a sort of cover to deal with the local showery weather.

You just tune your car radio to the very local FM frequency they specify and there's food service to your car and a little heater that plugs in and sits on your dash to avoid those steamy windows when your engine's off.

It's all playing on that retro vibe!

Canton doesn't have any drive-ins left anymore but just a little bit south of here is the Lynn Auto Theatre . It has been in business in Strasburg Ohio since 1937 . For 5.00 adult admission you get to see two movies ,kids 5-11 2.00 under 5 free.
 
Ahhh, Cork.

The Irish Riviera :-)

I visited there in 1996. Was spending most of my time in Dundalk up north but on my last weekend spent a night in Cork. The drive down was the most interesting part... actually found the spot where Michael Collins was ambushed and assassinated. It was winter, and in addition to the dreary weather, a lone dog kept barking loudly a fair distance away at a farmhouse. Quite a lonely, desolate spot.

Some day I'd like to go back when the tourists are in season.
