Not trying to offend, but I found this hilarious when I read it in another forum:

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
1 to move it to the Lighting section
2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section
7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
5 to flame the spell checkers
3 to correct spelling/grammar flames
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct
19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum
11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty
7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's
3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group
13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"
5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.

LOL

That was down right hilarious! Surely the members of AW, the most distinguished forum on the internet, wouldn't succumb to such a level **clears throat**

My favorite "5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy"

too funny, too funny

Chuckling to myself...

Just too funny, that's priceless! I haven't had a good laugh like that in a while. Thanks for the laugh!

LOL, it's the truth. But i sleep better knowing, that every conceivable option has been explored. The real shame is, some members are very talented. As Chris Rock said "some people have jobs, some people have careers. Ladies and gents, me thinks we were meant to be something, to do with our passion Members often raid their personal stash to find some appliance part, that is obviously near to the last one on the planet. To me it comes across as a Passion for "our pass-time" When we have new member, that writes i thought i was the only one, How many times have we seen that typed? I know my membership here has enriched my life many times over. I am Thankful for every one of you. Your generosity with posting info re: your finds, your pictures and vids. Some do not have the space or means to collect. "No one is so rich, to be able to throw away a friend. signed alr2903, still looking for an apex, to send to a special dood, in Minneapolis

that was well said. I will NEVER EVER FORGET IN A MILLION YEARS the feeling that rushed through me when I found this site and discovered I wasn't alone. AW is the greatest ever.

that's us.

Of course, we need a few more to be complete:
199 to offer help and much needed advice
50 to offer to stop by and change it with you
while
everybody kindly asks you to...take pictures and post

Great this post makes everyone feel defensive. *LOL*

Uncle Fester says:

oh dont stick it there hon that is a definite emergency-room

Ok so the lighting device in that end is probably hydro- electric. Would it be natural gas powered if inserted in the other end? *LOL*

:) Haha I loved this!

...anyway, if the light bulb is powered by nuclear electric energy I'm in to take care of it!
