Some of that is true

I have known people who willfully and intentionally screw things up so they will never be asked again to help with anything. They'll do it repeatedly until others just throw their hands up in frustration.

I had a room mate in college that was like that with the DW. After trying to show him how it's done over and over again he never loaded it right anyway. Eventually he started breaking things, like breaking dishes, dropping glasses, etc. Then he said "Are you finished trying to show me how to use a dishwasher yet?" When it came time for rent to be due the next month he was shown the door. We knew what he was doing was intentional. Miserable SOB.
