HI everyone, I am getting a 1950's automatic washer for free on this coming Monday. What must I do to get this home in a safe condtion? It was working just fine when it was disconnected 15 years ago. I have a 100 mile drive to get it home. Thanks for all of your help. Gary

My pickup truck is available on Monday. Probably the best way to move your washer is upright (not laying down), using a refrigerator dolly to move it and assist in loading it. I could drive up and accompany you on your trip.

best effort is spent securing the tub from movement for the journey. Be sure to towel over the controls and tape that down with gorilla tape . will protect valuable panels, knobs, clear plastic parts from blowing away, or being hit by stones thrown up down the road.
Be sure to tape down the lid so it doesn't blowup and away.
Then use ratchet ropes to keep her upright on all those exit ramps!
then take exquisite pictures upon arrival and POST - boom boom done!
