Ok so I'm pretty sure I have isolated the problem with my Unimatic's wiring problem. It's where the power cord comes in and ties with the black lead to the the timer and the returning white wires. I have looked in the search for how to do this but found nothing. The part I dont know what to do with is where 2 white wires from the water valve combine with the white wire from the motor. I cant see what kind of connection it is and dont know how to wire a new one. I have a new 3prong plug/cord that i would like to install. Any help would be great, its a wv-65 model.

Try and get the wiring diagram before attempting anything.... I am sure that someone here on the board would have one or perhaps a photo of how a grounded power cord was wired in.

Jed the white wire from the new cord goes into the splice that goes to timer motor connection, the black wire goes into the motor protector.  The other side of the motor protector goes into the timer.

The green ground wire from the new cord gets attached to any metal screw that attaches to the top of the cabinet.
