Hoyt's Magic Laundry Tablets

Has anyone seen or heard of these before? I found this on Ebay and I love the box. It's a laundry additive; wonder if it's just phosphate or what?

Ha. Judging by the age of the box wouldnt be surprised if they were lye or something thats banned today.

The box says it contains no caustic or injurious chemicals. Lye is caustic.
