I picked this little 24" washer up yesterday morning for the bargain price of $130!
smiley-surprised.gif
The seller said they bought a year ago, then moved to an apartment (it's been in storage since).  Now they will be moving to Las Vegas in 3 months and don't want to take this washer with them.  So this may be only a year old?  The owners manual has a Oct 2017 print date and Thomas believes this model has only been on the market for 2 years now.  It's currently available with prices ranging from $945 to $1100 depending on the seller.  Sears Outlet does show a dented one in Ohio for $650, but still.    I plan to call Electrolux tomorrow to see if they can tell me exactly how old it is.  BTW the model tag states "Made in Italy".

For a compact washer, this thing is "big" (2.4 cu.ft. capacity), has 14 cycles, steam, 1400 rpm max spin and to my surprise, recirculation!  When I first hooked it up I ran a rinse & spin cycle.  After a few minutes I heard the pump come on, but it wasn't draining, I thought "great, somethings wrong with the pump, or maybe the hose was clogged".  I then realized water was being recirculated in the tub, WOW (pic 3)!  Another surprise is, this washing machine has a "steam refresh" cycle, meant for clean, dry clothes that I assumed would only be found on steam dryers!

While I did run a couple cleaning cycles yesterday, this washer was very clean and didn't need really need it. I've already done 2 loads of laundry in it and I like it!

I'm totally in love with that washer.

It's tiny, but a workhorse. The capacity is REALLY impressive for such tiny washer.
I also loved the way it's straight forward with the spin cycles. It actually surprised me, super brilliant engineering. No more hours wasted trying to balance the loads.[this post was last edited: 2/2/2020-18:34]

24" Electrolux Washer

Our distributer has been selling these for at least 3 years now, so far no problems with the washers, the condenser dryers are not fairing as well, but there are no great dryers in 24" size and no gas ones except the dryer on the 24" top load GE stack.

A lot of washers & dryers are still made in Italy , WP finally dumped the little 24" Chinese piece of crap about two years ago [ I would easily rate the 24" Chinese machine as the worst laundry appliance Whirlpool ever sold ] and they are now selling two different size 24" Italian built machines, and so far we have not had any problems with the several dozen we have sold.

Hi Kevin, does this washer connect to hot& cold water or is it cold fill only ?, The two little WPs are cold fill only with a heater of corse.

great find

I have the same in my NYC apartment (mine is branded as Kenmore but is exactly the same). I paired it with a Miele Heatpump dryer.

We run 9 loads per week (2 people with workout clothes plus AirBnB guestroom).

The quality of this machine is amazing.
I stopped using bleach for my kitchen towels. I just run the Sanitize cycle instead!

Feel free to load it FULL. I mean FULL. make sure there's enough space for 4 fingers on the top of the load.

It has a very smart water mixing system. When you use WARM for example it will make sure that the temperature is right. It will take Hot, then cold, then hot again etc until the water has the right temperature.

Spin wise, awesome. No vibration, no noise, no stupid forever distribution.

I know that on my Electrolux 527’s the manufacturers date is printed on the sticker in the door opening of both machines.
That’s. a neat washer! That wash drum is also used in AEG washers and it’s called Protex if I recall correctly. It’s supposed to enhance the wash performance of the washer. There is a Kenmore version of said washer as well.

No build date on this data tag.

I know Johnbee above has the KM version, but it looks like that model is no longer available(?) because I just checked the Sears website and did not see that model listed.

Thomas, I would think it may have a “suds kill” routine, but I don’t know that I want or need to find out. If I do Inadvertently get too many suds, I’ll just add a couple drops of fabric softener and that will quickly kill any excess suds.

John, someone said the KM version has fewer features than the E-lux version.  Can you post photos of the control panel and list the features, please?  How many cycles and does it have steam?  Recirculation, etc?

I'm fortunate enough to have more than "just one" washer & dryer connected.  The current line up (all front loaders) consist of a Kenmore He5t, an He3, an LG, a 240V Miele and this E-lux (not including the 1997 Frigidaire's in the house).

Thanks!

Kevin

It’s exactly the same . Same capacity same 14 programs with steam etc recirculated pump etc
I have it for more than a year and it’s a beast !
The reason I got the kenmore and not the Electrolux is because I got it from a friend ( he used it for 2 months I think)
I wish I could afford a Miele :)
Space wise , I live in NYC so even having a washer in unit is a luxury here

Oh very nice, thanks for the photo, really good to hear they are the same, except for the name!  I just edited my post and added a photo of my line up, take a look.

I actually have 5 Miele washers & 4 Miele dryers.  Unfortunately the oldest (20 years) is now dead and has become a parts donor for the 17 year old W1986.  I bought them used and was able to get them for reasonable price, especially the two in stainless, the most recent (on the right) is only 6.5 years old!

I’m originally from Europe and my family has a Miele tradition .
My grandmother is 91 and still owns her W430!
The only Miele toy I have is this new fancy heatpump dryer.

I find them exceptional but looks like this Electrolux is not bad at all!
Let’s see how long it will last :) we run around 9 loads a week.
