I Always Liked This Style of Hotpoint Cooktop

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I have only seen pictures in magazine ads and it was always placed between the two 6 inch units at the back so that was all I was basing my comments on. I guess I did not see the contrast between the cooktop and the counter top. I remember that TOL Frigidaire cooktop with the remote panel that was shown either on the front of the cabinet in front or above and behind.

I remember seeing pictures of Hotpoint's drop in range with the twin control pods in the back corners; one for the surface units and the other for the clock and oven and the surface units placed with the airplane arrangement of the two 6 inch units front to back in the center and the two 8 inchers to either side. I'll bet my mom would have placed plastic wrap over the tower or towers near skillets involved in a frying operation.[this post was last edited: 12/23/2021-15:31]

Your mother sounds like a wise woman to protect such a thing from getting ruined.

Sounds like the kind of person a spatter shield was designed for.

Almost like mine

But mine is all push button control and the control panel is mounted centrally on the back center of the cooktop. 1962 model and it works perfectly everyday.
