I have one of the last GE-branded steam irons. Got it in the 70's, (I think). Maybe the 80's. Memory is hazy on that. Shortly thereafter, same model, but Black and Decker labeling. Black, blue, and orange.

I'm glad you got the iron! We had one like that, except the temp dial part was rounded. I smile when I think about the things my mom and grandma used to iron, that many of us wouldn't dream of doing today! I used to "help" with the dish towels and pillowcases. I liked those because they were flat, square and easy!
