Having seen them on trade fairs for years, I finally made the step and bought myself a Woll pan.
Man, I wished I had done that years ago!

Ok, admitted: I liked them because they are located in my home place. Still, I usually do not trust things on sale on trade fairs. For years I had been observing them, looking at their demos and videos and after almost 8 years I took a plunge and bought one.

Goodness I own that thing, I wish I had decided to buy it before! They somehow have found a way to bond granite particles or whatever to the aluminum using a plasma beam. So the coating is not the usual Teflon coating or any other plasticy stuff you would normally expect. Nothing can blister off or cause problems when washed. The coating IS more or less the pan body (or at least it feels so). That pan is so sturdy.

I bought it in Saarbrücken on a consumers' trade fair "Welt der Familie" (world of the family, taking the title literally). That lady was so cool and easy going, she was not one of the usual sales serpents with a fake Colgate smile. She was just like your next door neighbour, we'd been chatting along discussing all recipies and the smoke points of several greases and oils. After some very pointed-out questions I was sure what pan to choose.

I put it to a test: Usually I am used to these brown coil shaped rings on pan cakes resulting from the electric coils in the hot plate underneath. Not here: The pancakes are as evenly tanned as if coming from a Hawaii beach. Normally I was used to having to somehow "shove and push" things in a pan. Nope. Those baked potatoes were skidding along so easily that I felt like playing some air hockey!
I deliberately left residues in the pan on full heat for 6 hrs. they would just carbonate and the leave the pan as it is, a Kleenex wipe and done you are. I slammed it down on the ground (on purpose): Just nothing. (Mind you they give 25 years warranty on the metal body against warping).
I used forks, table knives and metal pan spoons on purpose, cutting and slicing away what have you. Nothing. The pan is still the pan as it was.

No, I am NOT connected to this company, yes, I do write this as a more than happy customer.

PS: You can put all the pans and pots into the oven, all non-removable handles can stand the heat.
Others have detachable handles (my pan does) - that saves you a lot of space in your kitchen.
And that handle does not move a bit, it is really tight, I tried it.

Although sounding like a paid impersonator: Nope, I am more than willing to share this positive experience as a client all over again. That pan is THE pan! I knocked out Tefal and AMC for it, so believe me.
Thanks, Joe

here is the link: look at quality, manufacturing and see the vid:

Woll pans do sound nice-wonder if there is a dealer-distributer in the US.They use Titanium or Diamond imprgenated coating applied b y a plasma jet system.Goodness gracious-instead of CUTTING things in the Diamond impregnated pot--you could SHARPEN your knife with it!Woll appears top make a top quality product.Would be nice to have a set.Diamonds are an excellent conductor of heat!Titanium would be as well, and it is tough, and very heat resistant.
