Isn't there a computer accessory you will need to buy?
Congrats.

oh.. and dont be an a@@ as your best bud toggle was. Zip your mouth till you learn the corporate culture of your particlalar place of employ.

Remember when in doubt leave it (the comment) out!

What line of work by the way? And again best wishes.....

PS => Do Brits get paid once a month?

White-collar jobs here are twice a month and blue-collar tend to be once a week, IMHO

Thanks all!

Well the job toggles is at a software house, Im a Software tester, so its good experience.

Im deff taking onboard what you said about getting a feel for the place before I start opening my mouth!!LoL

Oh I get paid once a month, I think in England most people get paid once a month actually, its normal here, althought some jobs are weekley or bi weekley.

Most monthly tho- I prefer it as it stops you spending too much each week!!!!

Mac won't load the Finder: sounds like you're using something prior to OSX, probably 7.5 or something in the 8.1 through 8.something-or-another range.

The Finder is the basic interface to the operating system in Mac. If it's not loading, then chances are what you've got to do is back up all of your documents and other personal stuff, wipe the hard drive, and reload the operating system from the discs.

Better to switch to a newer Mac such as a G4 and use OSX. You can get one of those Mac Minis pretty inexpenively, I would guess something like 250 Pounds UK.

Re. the Danby countertop dishwasher; yes, I was looking at those also, though strangely enough I don't have a space in the kitchen with the correct dimensions for mounting one; the counters are too narrow and distance to cabinets is too short. I could build a shelf for it I suppose. Anyway I'd be interested in seeing your reviews on this if you get one.

I have an older Mac running at 10.1.5 (I can't go any higher with this machine), with no problems. Depending on which Mac you have you can upgrade pretty easily. Just don't go below 10.1 (been there done that).

In shopping for a new mac I have found that a eMac is a better deal than a Mac mini. By the time you buy a monitor, keyboard and mouse, you have paid for the eMac. IMHO.
