Darren, that machine is pretty! I love the blue LCD display. Can't wait to see it for myself, that distribution rinse looks fun! What are the similarities and difference between this model and the WMA version you had a few years back?

Hotpoint

Darren, nothing is ever unthinkable in "LaundryLand", its about trying new/different machines, experiencing their different qualities and ENJOYING the experience...

My sister has the 860 and I`ve been impressed with it, easy to use, and with great results...enjoy it, looking forward to hearing your take on it, Cheers, Mike

Okay guys i finally got some videos done of it! A fun load it was too!

I did cotton 40 with wash enhance and extra rinse selected.

Not always but sometimes when you select wash enhance you get rinses that are 3 or 4inches up the door but typically as i was videoing this cycle it chose to do standard level rinsing lol which is perfectly fine i just wanted to see a high rinse! normal rinses fill into the seal and just touch the door!

Hope you enjoy these as much as i did makin em!

Hi Darren

Congratulations on the new machine. They are fun aren't they? I regret in a way selling my WD640, but then we can't keep every machine and there are too many to choose from.

I really liked the programmes on the Hotpoint but the one thing that really pisses me off and it's the same with the Aqualtis is the out of balance sensor. It can take forever. Faff, faff, faff! I hate it! I also think many machines these days have too many spin phases, I just don't think it's necessary and can take ages.

I too found the motor nice and quiet although, do you find it does get noticeably louder after about 900rpm? The Aqualtis was better at this and remains fairly quiet even at top speed. The only problem with the Aqualtis is a noisy pump. Unusally this does not affect every wash but when it does it's rather annoying. Is the pump Ok on this machine? What direction does it spin in?

Take care

Rob

Hi Rob,
Thanks for the comments!:D I absalutely love this hotpoint!

The programmes are really good. There not excessively long! the fastwash is fun as it tumbles alot, really long tumbles with very short pauses!

I used the distribution woolcycle today! I forgot you have to press wash enhance lasttime. the oridnary wool cycles quite cool too!

As with all new machine it does faff about abit trying to balance for a spin but i load big items and small items so its not usually a problem.

Its absalutely silent. it gentlely hums up through the speeds!

The pump is much quieter than what i've heard on chris's videos of his aqualtis!

Its spins clockwise, proper hotpoint style!

Is your aqualtis proving reliable, i've heard some horror stories about some models!

Hey guys,
Well I've had the machine a couple weeks now & i'm very pleased with it.

Heres a pic of a rinse, the rinse levels always flupuate on this machine! Sometimes low sometimes a few inches up the door!

I've used most of the programmes, i like the fast wash progs, the standard cotton cycles clean really well in a reasonable time!

I've made a video of it washing my dogs bed, which is basically a single duvet cut in half and a duvet cover stiched into it! so now he has 2 beds!

Im making a few more videos throughout the day so keep your eye on my youtube page if ur interested!

Darren
