" . . . after everyone's done shaking hands with this guy, whoever he is."

That could be me in another life.

I don't get it.. how people become so infatuated or thrilled just meeting someone famous.
Along the lines of The Tonight Show when all the front seat fans get up and shake Jays hand when he walks out like it's the second coming of Christ. I don't get it, there's nobody on this planet would make me get all goo goo eyed and gushing just to meet them but then I'm a crusty type anyways LOL

Ha!

I love that picture! That looks like how I would have been when I was a child (or even now as an adult). I don't have any desire to meet anyone famous.

When I was 17, I was working at Dillard's Dept store in the children's section and this strange looking man and an older woman came in together and were picking out clothes. I didn't really pay any attention to them until the other cashiers starting saying 'Don't you know who that is???' and 'Oh, I can't believe it's him!'. They brought their items to ring up and when I told them the total, he handed me a credit card that said 'Mr. Alice Cooper'. Again, I still didn't know who he was, just that he was famous since my co-workers were going nuts. They were so mad that I didn't get an autograph, other than his credit card receipt which they couldn't have. LOL I was obilvious and still am. I can hardly name actors/actresses that are on TV or in movies. I am terrible at trivia! ;-)
