I took a week of vacation this week and one of the activities was to got to North Carolina for 2 days to help with the Obama campaign there. Went to Hendersonville.

It was quite interesting - and a lot of work! Met some great people there too. The Obama campaign is really putting people out on the streets and on phones to get out the vote.

I'm real interested to know if NC goes for Obama this election now, even if I don't live there.

I've been mulling over heading to the Reno area to help get out the vote for Obama. With an ulterior motive of getting together with "beads-o-bleach" Mike to make it up to him for not being able to get to Folsom Street Fair. You know the drill, all work and no play makes ol' Ralph a dull boy and that ain't my style at all.

Good job with helping out in NC. I'll bet you feel good about what you did, and let's hope your work pays off on 11/4.

Doing My Part: I've been messing with the live-action McCain callers. Have received three, so far.

Call #1: Obama associates with terrorists. (My response: "Obama hangs around with Dick Cheney!?")

Call #2: Obama will be soft on inner city and gang-related crime. (My response: "I know what you mean; I don't think a negro will tolerate sending other negroes to jail!")

Call #3: The machine took this one; Literally so unintelligible I couldn't get the gist of the call. Thought I heard the word 'socialist', but I can't, in all honesty, be sure. Oh, and she wanted money for McCain. Having recently jumped on the 'no redistribution of wealth' bandwagon, I won't be sending any.
