They always make me laugh. Just to make it worse Candy saw fit to publish it on the Hoover Website.

Something makes me think most people at Candy have no idea how old a Soft Wave would be anyway. Kinda sad really...

Presumably Candy still employ some ex-Hoover long service award type people in their offices in Merthyr Tydfil? Surely someone would notice? Perhaps not. Maybe they have all left in disgust.

At least Maytag made an effort to learn the history of Hoover. Candy are perhaps more preoccupied with cutting costs... Hoover is now just a badge with a bit of brand loyalty attached to it, Candy quality will do nothing to maintain that loyalty.
