It's so tasty too!
Lucy hated the taste and texture of honey. In one of the many biograqphy books I own and cherrish,it speaks about how she did it and the look on her face it caused from her reaction to it being in her mouth.The texture and color was perfect for it to be made into a tonic.

In the 50's I had to take a supplement called Vidalin. I hated that stuff! and it did not taste like candy. What reminds of this is the color ( I know it's black and white but still) and the consistancy was very much like the real thing. I have always liked this episode as my favorite. Gary

The Vitameatavegamin skit used to send my Mom into peals of laughter. We all enjoyed the skit, and I remember never being able to pronounce the name until years later when I saw it written down. I think I called it "Veetavitavegamin"....

WE LOVE LUCY!!!
If all of you were to watch this episode again, notice how, just as Rickey is singing his song, Lucy is at the far left smoking a cigarette waiting for her cue.Not many people have noticed the many little diddles that go on at different scens but I noticed it one day and pointed it out to my friends.She is standing at a doorway entrance onto the stage.
Another real funny one is Lucy and Ethel doing a live commercial on T.V selling "Aunt Martha's Old Fasioned Salad Dressing"."Aunt who's?Old what?Salad which? LOL Lucy has Ethel holding a sign with the address and Phone number. Ethel has it upside down and Lucy,waiting for her cue,is telling her it's upside down and to turn it aroud. You'll here Ethel saying real clearly "I did!" as she again turns the sign the wrong way. After fading out and going to a commercial,Lucy scolds Vivian as Vivian tells Lucy to "Go fuck yourself!" Another little diddie from one of the many "I Love Lucy" biagraphies I have in my massive collection.I have a nice four teer bookshelf full to the max of not only the books and memorobilia from this classic sit com but also 25 of the many "I Love Lucy" Barbie doll from different episodes. She is,and always will be, my favorite actress of all time!My own mother,as well as myself, are a lot like her in that we both took our own situations and made them become funny.I know that now,my life is in termoil and I don't see any light but this too shal pass and I know that one day I'll be able to look at it and laugh.Had it not been for the many hours of "I love Lucy" I watched while going through my own life's dramas,I don't know where I would be today.Thank you Ms.ucille Ball for all yo've done to makes us all laugh!!!

I was reading the following quote from Lucy's daughter, Lucie, in TV Guide (top 100 TV episodes feature):
"The prop man, Herb Browar, searched and searched for something gruesome enough to help her make that face.... I finally got to taste it--and now I know why Mom made that face. It's like biting into a lemon. Or drinking that stuff they give you the night before you go in for your colonoscopy."
Apparently, Lucie ordered some for "An Evening With Lucille Ball," a stage production she's directing.
The world may never know! BTW, the Vitameatavegamin episode, "Lucy Does A Commercial," made #4 of the top 100!
