She always does JUST the trick to bring the dullest vacuums back into their prime. I got this Kirby today from work, and it was an oxidated wreck. Well a little Mothers Aluminum Polish, some steel wool, and a lot of elbow grease was all it took to give it the shine it deserves. I slapped a double-row brushroll in it, and had a blast waltzing it through the house. Heres a pic! Sorry it's a bit dark....

Is it a really fine grade steel wool that you use? I would think that would make it all scritchy-scratchy, but it sure looks beautiful! I used to have one very similar to that. I do agree that Mothers is a good product, I've had it before.

0000....

A vacuum friend (FRED) gave me thorough instructions on how to polish vacuums. Yes, I would have thought that the steel wool would scratch it too, but it doesn't. It just makes it shine beautifully (along with mothers). I'm gonna do my Dual 80 tomorrow!
