I know it is somewhere in storage, but I didn't realize how irreplaceble it was.
Hamilton Beach, Waring, Toastmaaster, Rival, West Bend....now who was it who made that thing. ok, I'll just browse with google. -hamilton beach hot plate-
results = coffee maker
dang, not listed.
I found my userguide in the file drawer, it was a hamilton beach buffet range from 1986. 2 burners - stainless steel top, 2 heat setting knobs on the top. I cooked for 6 years with it. My idea on moving into my 1st house with a tiny kitchen was "why get a "stove?" there's not enough room in the kitchen for that AND the microwave cart. SO I had the large toastmaster convection toaster oven on the cart above the microwave, and the 2 burner buffet range on the counter. 6 years I used it. Worked fine.
Now I find time and gov't has removed the humble dual burner high btu hot plate from our midst. There are some out there for $300-$400 but no longer the humble Hamilton Beach.
If you still have one of these gems, don't loose it.
(I'm amazed, you type in Hamilton Beach hot plate into google and you get .... nowhere)
