hello, i need some help. i have a GE mobile maid model SM500A3 that is leaking...=(....it is leaking through the fill tube pump connection. i want it saved!!!! anyone know what to do?....ive tried replacing the seal in the screw on connector that doesn't deem to be doing the trick...there is still water spraying out the swivel connection. so correct me if im wrong, but that means i need a new fill tube???....everything else in in great shape. i would be willing to pay reasonable money for the needed part if its not something i could get in a store. but till then im washing dishes by hand....=(

Is the water spraying out around where it connects to the faucet? If so, the little locking mechanism that holds it to the coupler might be shot. This was especially likely to happen with the plastic connectors. You might need to buy a replacement unicouple which probably won't match the one you have, but would keep the machine usable.
Is the water coming from the unicouple that attaches to the faucet? My 57 Mobile Maid leaks here too, in fact it sprays out until the first fill begins and then only drips through the remainder of the cycle. There looks like a rubber seal that is supposed to seat around the faucet adapter that is dried out and isn't able to make a good seal until the water valve relieves the pressure on the line, allowing it to grip the faucet adapter. This unicouple looks old enough that it might be possible to disassemble it and replace that rubber o-ring but the machine is in need of a new home anyway and I may just let the next owner work on that.
When I first found the dishwasher, it leaked at the water valve where the hose from the faucet screws on. That was a simple fix, remove the front panel and replace the washer at the end of the hose.
Hope you get it solved, they are fun machines and I don't think I could sleep until my handwashing drudgery was relieved.

If the simple, easy fixes don't work:
You can go online to ebay and other sites and find a new unicouple (around 80 dollars, unfortunately). You'll have to change the adapter that attaches to your sink faucet, but those and cheap and easy to replace. The new unicouple will have to be attached to the machine in two different places: at the pump with a clamp and to the inlet solenoid which usually uses a normal threaded female end. Takes some doing but you only have to be handy with wrenches and screwdrivers.
And to add what Tom and Greg said already, make sure all the existing adapters are on tight and that all of the seals and washers are in place. All that stuff comes loose really easily with portable connections. If I don't attach my unicouple "just right" every time I use my Mobile Maid, I'm rewarded with a nasty spritz of hot water aimed straight for the face.
