Hey guys so after taking my frying pan out of the dishwasher here’s what the bottom looks like, and the inside of the lid isn’t much better

I think it probably does still work as I used it earlier for making pancakes

What would cause such a thing and how can I get it back to “normal”

If the inside is stainless steel or Teflon you can just keep washing the base in the dishwasher. But over time the rainbow coloured sections will turn black. These sunbeam pans still had an aluminium outside layer on the base, even if the inside was stainless. Use some steelo or another soap impregnated pad to clean up the oxidation.

Because it’s fawn/toast coloured, due to age I’d hand wash it. At some stage the moisture barrier where the terminals enter the element will break down and you’ll get a short to ground.

I never put any cookware that has a non-stick coating, in my dishwasher. Also, in my experience, the rainbow pattern on other items, is a sign that I've used too much detergent. I wipe them out or if need be, wash them in warm soapy water. Over the years, I found that doing this makes the non-stick coating last much longer. That's just my experience, others may have something different.
