About Home Depot - A Warning (Long Read)
Whircool, do not accept this mistreatment. I hired Home Depot to refloor my bathroom. The work they did was so unbelievably bad that even they had to redo it once I complained. You could not imagine more slipshod, half-a---d work in your entire life.
Problem was, they left me with no sink. The first installers had pulled my sink out of the wall in a way it could not easily be put back. Home Depot refused to do anything about this. I battled their customer service, insurance, and corporate office for MONTHS, dealing with their employees who could not have cared less about my problem. Home Depot's idea of "complaint resolution" is wearing the customer down until they give up. I refused to take this.
I lodged complaints with BBB, disputed my credit card, and even wrote letters to the Florida Attorney General, who helped me with my case.
No customer should be forced to take such drastic measures to get a problem solved. I finally had to hire an outside sourse to fix the sink, of course with my own money.
I don't know what exactly did it, but about six months later after the problem first started, I finally received a full refund credit. The sad thing is, I would have gladly paid them to have done it right the first time.
