I just wanted to share my excitement with you for having taken delivery of a new washing machine. This is a Hoover Dynamic 8 Pulse, a front loading washer which features a system for mixing water + detergent and uses multiple jets to spray the solution over the clothes.
I'm over the moon with it especially since I've been longing for some time to get one of these. I finally decided to place an order nearly 2 months ago but due to an out-of-stock issue, the retailer decided to cancel my order. Then I thought, I might as well leave it to fate and forget about getting a new washer. Several weeks later, another retailer (catalogue) was offering me a discount on their merchandise and it happend to stock these 8 Pulse machines... I felt terribly seduced and I couldn't resist ordering a Hoover Dynamic once again.
It arrived after a few weeks but there was something odd about the packaging... well, it looked battled! On removing the polystyrene I immediately noticed the latch for the filter flap (a piece of plastic) was sitting at the bottom of the packaging. Either than that, the machine looked in excellent conditions. I proceeded to take out the 4 transit bolts which held the tub still and I noticed that they were all bent. I didn't think much of it until I tried the machine, still unplumbed with 1 dry cotton sheet in the drum: my heart sunk! It was shaking like a XII scale earthquake (please take me with a pinch of salt here) and it sounded like a tractor on a bad day. I rang the retailer asking for a refund, but they persuaded me to give it another go with a replacement (I must say... it didn't take too much convincing).
The replacement was meant to arrive on the 09-01-13, but maybe Santa interfered and I just got it last week... yippeeee! Anyway, the one I'm keeping, is just fine, and what a relief that is!!
