Some of you may be familiar with my KA Architect side-by-side's icemaker saga that's been going on for nearly a year. Ice crescents would miss the bin and tumble down to the floor of the freezer section. We started referring to the fridge as "the clunker." After three attempts at repair with the last one changing out the icemaker assembly, the problem wasn't resolved. The last tech out said if his fix didn't work that I should contact KA directly. So I did and without batting an eye they said they'd exchange the fridge for a new one.

It arrived on Monday. Model number is one character different (a "V" instead of a "T") but it's the same fridge. And we finally have every crescent landing in the bin and not all over the shelving and on the floor. Yippeeee!

I'm very pleased that KA did this without any arm twisting. Maybe they know this is a problem, maybe they were executing their no-nonsense guarantee, but whatever the circumstances, I'm now a satisfied customer.

Just thought I'd report a consumer issue that had a happy ending.

I am glad to hear that your issue was resolved with out a big hassle because my sister in law had the same fridge and did not have that good luck. She finally got a replacement from Sears.

Ralph,

Unfortunately, a happy ending like yours is becoming rarer and rarer these days. Just the same though, I'm very happy for you.

Chilly Willy is back in action...YAY!....I like ice cubes....they make great treats for Halloween....give them out to all the kiddies....they melt in the bags and then they rip open and all the candy is over my front lawn....AND IT'S ALL MINE, MINE I TELL YA!!!hahahahaha
