If you had a dryer like this would you do reg maitnance to keep it in tiptopshape?

Hello to all aw members if you had a dryer like the one my grandmother had for 40 years would you do reg maitnance each 5 years to keep it in tiptop shape and i wonder what would of been the matching washer to this dryer? this was the inglis whirlpool dryer my grandmother own the washer she had with that dryer before her 1988 kenmore washer and direct drive whirlpool washer seen a bit in pic 1 was a push to start inglis liberator washer i think it was a 1959 60 model since it was a push to start model no water level only the 5 wash rinse temp selector beside the timer dial and it was a 3 cycle model
