Ignis twin tub on ebay

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Uncanny....

I spied that same item last night as I was trawling through ebay... I've never seen one before - may I assume that these weren't terribly common in Australia?? See lots of the others, Hoover, NEC, Samsung and Hitachi - but never an Ignis...!!!

Give me choice though - and I'd always have a Hitachi twinnie - they were the best!!!! Pity Hitachi doesn't do consumer products in Australia anymore...

So twinniefan - will this one be added to your collection??

Cheers Steve.

I am afraid not

Unfortunatley Streakers, it won't be, if I got another washer I would be court martialled, shot, hung and then made to stand in the corner, L.O.L., it is a nice machine, though, I agree with you about Hitachi, we nearly got the old 8kg Hitachi twin tub, but it was just a bit too wide for our available space, however the Haier is pretty good, had it for 3 years now and not a problem with it.
It is unfortuante that Hitachi dont do consumer products anymore,my late Dad and his partner, had a nice little Hitachi automatic washer which lasted about 17-18 years and only had to be serviced once.
Have you seen the new 6.5kg twinniw by Belair, which is on the market now, I am not sure, but I think they are made by Lemair, but it looks like a pretty reasonable unit too.
Cheers.

That's a shame Steve,

as it looks to be in great condition! If I were closer I would certainly bring this one home - however I'm sure the 'better half' would probably skin me alive! LOL

My fondest memories are when my Grandmother and I would do the Laundry together (she had 7 boys - so no shortage of dirty clothes!!) We would have the wringer going all day - and the twin tub also... She always had the larger model Hitachi Twin tub... (we used to also use one of the very very old single tub hoovers and I think a lightburn as well) I just loved the simplicity of the Hitachis - and yet such a durable strong machine. The Hitachi Autos were a fabulous machine too - and indestructable!

There has been recently a couple of the newest 8kg Hitachi twin tubs on ebay - but were all in other states... Fetching a mighty high price too!!

I spied a Belair just last weekend in a Hardly Normal store - pretty cool - but for me - it's just not the same as the Hitachi... :-(

So Steve... You're other half will really blow a gasket over another addition?? Do they not share the passion??? LOL

Test the waters - see how you go.... Keep your phone on you in case you need someone to untie you from a lamp post or something! LOL!

Cheers Steve B.
