I was hooking up the Maytag washer the other day, finally got "Y" adapters for the faucets. I had some large blankets to wash so I used the Frigidaire FL'er and went down to see if it was ready for the dryer, the washer was displaying an error I can't remember what it was. It turned out that I had the hot and cold switched around, when I hooked it back up.

I can't stand a smart a** washer!

I'm going to get new hoses, and I'm going to get the red and blues so this won't happen again. I did however hook the Maytag up correctly.

I even had them where their marked on the outside but wired wrong on the inside...it happens.....

we just get in a rush and excited about hooking them up we forget to test it out first.....been there...

I decided to use the prewash cycle on some really dirty cleaning towels, and thought I had done something wrong when the washer would fill with cool water no matter what temperature selected. I must fill that way for the prewash.

Prewash

Yes, prewashes are usually cool to get rid of the majority of the dirt and stains before the hotter main wash sets them.
