I'm thinking about doing a wash-in at Steve's and my house sometime this spring. Either late March or mid April. Just want some feedback on what everyone thinks. It would be at my new house in Phoenix, AZ. Let me know if that sounds good to you. Thanks. Justin

So the holy trinity has a new member, eh?

I must say everyone and every event so far in Arizona has been spectacular.

It would be great to come and see!

(Oh Nate we miss you, and how are you these days?)

Justin, Wash-ins are always so much fun!!! I have been at both of the ones they had in Tucson and had a fantastic time.

Wash in

I'm interested as long as it doesn't agitate me!Do you have any toy models(I have over 50)that you're looking for?Do you have any old Kenmore dryers or Kenmore washer dryer combos?

What I have

I have a 1963 Lady Kenmore washer and dryer in turquoise. An Easy spin dryer, mid 50's pink hotpoint dishwasher, couple old refrigerators, stoves, lots and lots of the tube style radios and tvs. I do have one pink wringer washer toy.

Also while here in the Phx area there is a washing machine salvage yard, with parts someone may need.

I'm not sure of the exact date right now, but I should know sometime next week hopefully.

Question

Ok guys.... please don't regard this as a stupid question but I am such a "virgin" to this site... what is a wash-in?

A wash in is where those of us who collect/restore laundry products and other appliances get together via open invitation at one's home and bring our own dirty laundry(extra washer and dryers to show off/try out are usualy welcome to be brought along by guests)and have those attending welcome to try their models out by bringing along their own sourted loads of wash to do.Usualy, this is followed by a lunch/dinner (non formal) either covered dish where each guest brings something they specialise in making or we go out to a local restaurant as a group and cause mischef---LOL

~I'm interested as long as it doesn't agitate me!

Then don't sit on the agitator. I know the best ones are big, old and black, but DO try to resist.............

:-) Exit stage left.............. WHOOOOOOSH!
