Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Nate, you really must have a serious case of Frigidaire Fever. How did that set-up even get past you? LOL!

if you throw away that frigidaire

dishwasher i am interested in the parts. the pump and motor and spray arm.

i have 2 of those and found a third that i am going to pick up when i go to buffalo later this year. i would be interested in the racks too but they are probably too big to ship easily.

is that coppertone dishwasher a g.e.? control knob looks like it to me. any chance of seeing the inside?

thanks

Nice!

I have the exact twin of the little biege Kenmore Portable sitting in my kitchen. She's awfully nice. If the deal doesn't pan out, I could use the timer- mine has a dead spot in it.

Peter, your wish is my command...

The inside is pretty beat with rust spots all over the tub and door as well as the racks. This WAS a portable that was built in...

Say....

If a Maytag Top-Load dishwasher (A WP-600) ever finds its way into the 'pile' please let me know... I need racks and a rinse aid dispesner cover!
If I was closer, I might be convincing Hubby that I would be going on another road trip for that Frigidaire! LOL

Paul, I'll watch for one but haven't ever seen one in person before. As far as the roadie for the Frigidaire, you'll have to fight Roto204 for it... LOL!

Speaking of which, I already told him that I'll try to push a nice KDC-17A on him when he comes over (Or the KDI-20D). He seems to want to resist but I love a challenge... LOL!!!

The Pile

Real awsome display. I love the KDI20. Is that a caloric next to the GE dishwasher? The hotpoint washer is great also with the handwash adjator. We had one almost just like that one.
Peter

Eww!

I lived through owning a very similar GE. Gak :-)

In fact, the machine that replaced it was very similar to the one on the left. I wonder if that Tappan has the top-mounted full size wash arm and no spray tower the way my Magic Chef did?

Pete, can you e-mail me a list of what you need? I'm not sure about the bottom rack but I have the top rack, as well as motor, dispenser, pump housing, etc.

Nate Nate Nate!!! I wanna come home with you. You seem like such a kind, loving, swet guy who will take such good care of me and love me and appreciate me. I know I'm not a Superba, but I'm still regal as an Imperial!!! I wanna remind you of what it's like to possess a KitchenAid with two wash arms--load as you like, cram full, without a care in the world for spotlessly clean pots, pans, casseroles, and your funky dishes!!!

The Humble KDI20 yearning to be adopted!!!!!

It COULD with the style of the control panel, but I seem to be seeing a slight glimpse of the top rack through the slight exposure with the door open, and if that's the case, the top rack is mounted too high for that particular design/style and is more likely the more conventional arrangement.

Whoa--One Machine at a Time Boys

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately for Nate?) the Allroad only has room for one machine at a time. That KDI-20 is lovely and Bob you are so right about ease of use, but it's just not an option for this trip. Why couldn't it be a KDS-22 instead? I'd be more inclined to figure out a way to grab it and have it waiting in the wings in the event of a Thermador meltdown.

thanks for the pic of

the g.e. dishwasher. that is the exact style of tub, pump and motor as the g.e. i bought my aunt and uncle in 1971 or 72. with the horizontal pump and that power shower tube! i can still remember the smell of the new rubber when we first got it! amazing almost 40 years later!

i would love to have it for memory sake whether it's beat up or not but i don't think it's feasable to try to get it shipped from nevada. too expensive right now i feel. perhaps if you still have it later this year. or is it going to the crusher?

What is the the brand name of the dishwasher on the left in the third photo it looks really nice (so does the coppertone one next to it)
